I wish everybody a wonderful Walpurgis! Over here it's usually a big deal, with bonfires and events all day, but me, I'm going to spend it all with my manuscript. Deadline looms ever closer. Have fun and throw something on the fire!

My solstice got celebrated with a sleep-in morning, lunch at a café by the pedestrian street looking at people and reading, ice-cream and a walk with Sweetest as afternoon break and finally this (check the rating list at the bottom) witch gave me a reason to break out a bottle of cava and some high end chocolates.

I'm off to celebrate the end of a year and the beginning of a new one. At the same time it's the end of -00 and the beginning of a new decade. Christmas celebration at my parents place was wonderful! I have a nice, warm feeling still. The food was good, the train ride was quiet and un-crowded, the gifts were appreciated and the gifts I got was very thoughtful.  I'm home after my last day at the store before Christmas and I'm sitting on the couch watching The Big Bang Theory (courtesy of H & E) and laughing my head off. I'm relaxed, happy and content.  This whole vacation has been lovely! I've done a lot, rested a lot and got some little writing in as well. Now I have two whole days dedicated to my Sweetest. I felt like I had a complete solstice celebration last friday and I didn't really need to repeat any of it. So instead we had a couple of friends over for dinner and a game instead. As all such days this one started later than I usually prefer to start my days and I feel like I move through syrup. It's not an uncomfortable feeling, it's just that everything takes a little longer than usual.

 We celebrated Christmas with my parents in my birth town and it was great! Good food, cute presents and everybody was in a good mood. I really hope everybody has a nice holiday, eat a lot, spend it with loved ones and enjoy the rest and stillness.
